Password issue with Outlook intergration after IFD installation CRM 2011

Question

We're having real problems with outlook being left in a disconnected state when the user has changed their AD password following IFD deployment, we have added internal url to local intranet zone and set zone to use current user name and password but this does not seem to help. When you initally configure outlook using the wizard it now prompt you for user name and password with a remember password check box ticked, however when the password is changed outlook just starts with CRM disconnected, it does not prompt for new credentials and the only way we've found to clear it is to delete the crm config and re-add it (user don't have access to control panel to access windows credentials vault).
if I access via IE it does not prompt for a password and goes in automatically?
Is this how it is supposed to work or should outlook be using automatic authentication like IE? FYI single domain all users on same domain as CRM system.

I believe you need to re-configure the client:

This is obvious that once the password has been change, CRM Add in is not going to come up and would say disconnected.
This is because initiallywhen you configured Outlook Client for CRM they stored the credentials and it uses the same credentials everytime giving to CRM Disconnect issue,
Only solution is to Re-configure outlook client and save new credentials.
Stsrt->All Programs-> Microsoft Dynamics CRM -> Configuration Wizard.
If above suggestions don't resolve the issue please go to contro panel -> user account -> manage credentials ->delete the credentials stored there , it might be using old credentials from here.
