Subjects field became drop-down control in Dynamics CRM 2013 online RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi all,

After upgraded from MSCRM 2011 online to MSCRM 2013 online.  We found that the subject field became a drop-down /pull-down control, which is no longer editable.  Our users used to type in the subject field in MSCRM 2011.  Any help is much appreciated.  Thanks.  Remarks: Subject field here is referred to "Business Management > Subjects"

  • This is a design change brought about in CRM 2013 and there is no supported way to change this. Since subjects could be designed as nested trees, the new design intends to present the data in the same hierarchy through the drop down. You could have 2 subject at different levels of heirarchy with the same name and it would be difficult to identify the one typed in.

  • Sam is correct. Unfortunately the new control calls for additional clicks. You could post a suggestion on Connect if one is not already there.
