Enter Opportunity Product Amount RRS feed

  • Question

  • Is there a way to configure or customise the  Opportunity Product so that the user can specify the exact value/or amount?

This client wants it real simple, select a product enter an value, their is no requirement for default values, quantities or discounts.

  • Here's the first solution I've come up with:

    - Tax renamed to Amount

    - All fields hidden away on hidden tab except product and tax

    Here's the create form process

    - User select the product, all products setup with zero value.

    - Javascript fills unit

    - Javascript puts 1 in quantity

    - User enters value into Tax (which is renamed to amount)

Sales pipeline report works fine.  No requirements for any other reports.

  • Thanks Mayank, not sure I want to start adding triggers to the crm database, I'd rather stay on the supported side if possible.
