is it possible to edit a segment of your( voice) song and re-record your voice in certain portions only, or do you have to sing the entire song over?

also, are the update versions(1.1) available to download...

    thanks mbh

You cannot edit vocal recordings or "punch in" (record only part of a take) in Songsmith.  Our philosophy was to keep the experience simple and intuitive, and once you have an idea down and want to start getting that perfect vocal take, we recommend that you move your song over to a recording and editing environment.  There are some great and affordable commercial products out there for doing this (e.g. Cakewalk Home Studio) and some great free products as well (e.g. Reaper, Audacity).

You can download the most recent version of Songsmith (1.02) from our Web page:

    Happy Songsmith'ing!
