Modify the description of forums being archived and make a sticky thread to suggest an alternative place to ask questions

Question

I see people confused and don't know where to go when the dedicated forum got locked up and there is no sticky post nor forum announcement saying where the forum is moved to. And the technologies are definitely not being deprecated(e.g. Windows Ribbon Development, Server 2008 Server Core for Developers, Windows Vista Wireless SDK,Windows Events etc).

Most of the forums here have updated descriptions explaining they are locked, so yes.

Yes the windows event and network QOS forums are of higher priority but I do see posts about Server Core and Windows Ribbon scattered.
Could you just add a link to the catch-all forum for those forums for the time being before you get feedback from forum owners?
Also the Windows Live category on social.microsoft.com needs to be archived ASAP and directions needs to be added to direct users to windowslivehelp.com, there are too many misguided post in the new-defunct Windows Live Writer forum because support engineers on answers.microsoft.com suggest the category as the place to ask Hotmail/Windows Live Mail questiosn.
