can i store a table in VS2013 update 4, but free version, and use DAO recordset on data? And table be part of program when i Publish? RRS feed

  • Question

  • when I publish code I want the table of info to go with code.

    I have seen "DataView"

Please let me know if I have overlooked something. Or many things.

as far as I can see, a connection of some kind is made between an external data source and DataView.

    Like Azure, SQL server etc.

THEN data is moved into the "DataView"

Then my code can access data from outside data source

from what I have seen in Microsoft forums, once I get data into "DataView" (not sure if a control, object or table)

I can use DAO on data.

table would be preloaded by me, with some data, that user using a form would add to.  So table(s) of records stored on Azure  would only have my data not users info.

Using the .AddItem method like I used for a ListBox would work for the starting data I add, BUT wouldn't work for user added data.

From what I can tell I know most of what is needed if I can use DAO recordset on a Table Stored with my Visual Basic Project.
