Ineligible to use live mesh

Question
-
I'm trying to share a live mesh folder with my kids. My daughter invitation and installation went well. My son received the invitation but when he goes to the web site and views the invitation it says "we're sorry, you are ineligible to use live mesh". He's using Vista Home Premium 64bit. Any ideas? We're in the US (Washington State on Comcast) and his live mesh profile has his country set to "United States".
Thanks for the help.

This is just a wild guess, but is it possible that your son's LiveID profile at http://account.live.com for the account he is trying to set up for Live Mesh is identified as a child account, that is under 18? I don't know if that's even an issue, but that could be a factor in the preview. The Live Mesh team hopefully will step in with confirmation or other possible reasons.

Hi,
Steve is correct: if the Live ID account for your son is a child account he will not be able to use Live Mesh. Please let me know if you have any questions.
Thanks,

As a suggestion, would it be possible to add the reason for "ineligibility" to the output message?Wednesday, January 14, 2009 4:30 AM

Hi Oren,
Good suggestion! In general, we'd like to improve our error messaging across the board to make it as informative as possible. I've added this suggestion to our internal list of requests. :)
Thanks,

Ben,
How do I correct the problem if Windows Live ID thinks that my account is a child (i.e. under 18 yr old) account? I am 46 and when I checked my profile, ti showed that I was 9 years old. I subsequently updated my birthdate; which was blank (i.e. not filled in) when I went to do so. This was two days ago; I tried again today and I ran into the same problem (that my account is ineligible to use Mesh)?
Thanks
