I hope someone can answer my question. I'm an Oracle DBA trying to get 70-432 certified. I have a few questions / confusion that needs cleared up...
1) I found
http://www.microsoft.com/learning/en/us/exam.aspx?ID=70-432#tab1 ; but I can't find the format of the exam. What's the format of the 70-432 exams? I have always thought it's multiple choice questions but I just heard a brief comment on CBT videos
about how 20% of the exam is hand-on simulation. Can anyone confirm that?
Edit: Found the answer on
http://www.microsoft.com/learning/en/us/certification/exam.aspx#tab4
In addition to hands-on lab-based testing, exam formats may include:
-
Multiple-choice, single-answer questions
-
Multiple-choice, multiple-answer questions
-
Active screen questions
-
Drag and drop questions
-
Build list and reorder questions
-
Case studies
-
Simulations
2) I am currently using Mike Hotek's 70-432 book and CBT videos concurrently to prepare for the exams. Maybe it's just me, but, I don't feel confident with either materials in helping me pass the exam; and I'm almost at 40% into the materials. Can
anyone advise? *** Bear in mind Microsoft training is not an option due to budget constraints. *** That's the reason I'm doing MS certifications - my company refused to send me for Oracle University training; thus, I was not able to take my
next Oracle DBA exam. Since my company uses MSSQL2008 as well, I thought I'll take 70-432 since I can just prepare myself and take the test.
Thanks.
