Cannot search for a closed opportunity RRS feed

  • Question

  • I have some users who do not get any results when searching for certain opportunities using the quick find.  The opportunity is there and the search string is correct.

It appears this is the case for all closed opportunities.  I have tried to add find columns to the Opportunity Close entity but get a warning: the ability to customize this quick find view has been limited.  You cannot delete view."

How do I enable the ability to search all opportunities - including closed ones?

  • Hello,

    Try following:

    1. Open CRM.

    2. Navigate to Settings - Customization - Customize the System.

    3. Open Opportunity - Views - Quick Find View.

    4. Click Edit Filter Criteria.

    5. Remove filter by Status of Opportunity.

    6. Save Filter Criteria, Save and close View, publish customizations.

    7. Try to use quick find - it should work now.

  • Hi PeterPan1963,

I believe this is by design. The Quick find view is usually looking for the active records. However you should be able to go the specified view( Quick Find Open Opps) and Add another filter criteria for the view to include the Lost Opps. That should show you Open and Closed Opps.
