can't change product key in windows 7 RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hey,

I found out my windows was still not activated although its working for over a year (real slow). I found my product key on a sticker at the back of my laptop for windows 7 home premium OA. I had my laptop fixed over a year ago and they had reinstalled windows 7. I understand a little bit of technology and its obvious they installed a pirated windows 7 ultimate version for a Dell computer. At least that is what i think at this point. Can anyone please help? And could this be the reason that my laptop is slow?

Thanks from the bottom of my heart! :)

  • The installation is counterfeit - there are indications of at least one (and more likely two) Activation Exploits being installed in an effort to circumvent Activation and validation requirements.

You need to reformat and reinstall using legitimate media and the Key from your COA sticker.
