TechNet s/w developers might consider evaluating dynamic, continuous wysiwyg preview implemented by dpreview.com forums RRS feed

  • General discussion

  • I am an infrequent user of the TechNet forums. Each time I use the website, it seems improved. Keep up the good work!

I would suggest an evaluation of what dpreview.com forums has accomplished as far as a dynamic, real-time, continuous preview of what is typed in the body of the message. Some of the technology might be worth incorporating into the TechNet forums, as appropriate.

Instead of having a "Preview" button below the input field for the Body, the actual formatted text is visible. As you type in text, within several seconds the revised preview of the Body is shown.

This includes links to external images like flickr.com.

I don't know if they wrote their own custom bulletin board software, or use some engine. It is sufficiently close to magic to impress me. <g>.
