Dragging and dropping images into PowerPoint slides - fails

  Used to be I could drag images from Expression (and before that, iView) into a PowerPoint slide, and the image would go there. Now I get some giant markup text in PowerPoint, but no image. Dragging and dropping from iView 3.1.3 into PowerPoint works fine. So I'm using that in the meantime. Details: I'm using Expression Media 2 and PowerPoint for Mac 2008 v. 12.2.0. I'm on a 17" MacBook Pro running OS X v. 10.5.7.
