Windows 7 Ultimate all the sudden not genuine

Question
-
I have the same problem with Windows 7 Ultimate. I bought an Acer Laptop which had Windows Home edition on it and I upgraded with my copy of the Full Version of Windows 7 Ultimate. JUST FOR THE RECORD, I DID PURCHASE MY COPY OF WINDOWS 7 ULTIMATE FROM A LEGITIMATE SOURCE AND IT IS NOT AN UPGRADE IT IS THE FULL VERSION. I KNOW MY COPY IS NOT A COUNTERFEIT. I typed in the activation key from my CD case and it said the activation was successful. Now it says (a few days later) that my copy of windows is not genuine. When i try to re-active windows, I get an error saying the windows activation feature is not running as a service on my system. Here is my diagnostic report from the above link previously posted. Also I have tried to re-activate windows both as a standard user and as an administrator, the function does not work. I tried it by typing Activate Windows in the search bar on the start menu and from the right click properties of "My Computer" The option to "Change Product Key" is not available.

I started this thread because I was told to by one of your staff members. On this same topic as well.

On this same topic as well.I can see no request for a new thread?Carey is NOT a staff member (and neither are I or tb19), although he is an MVP and a moderator. His suggestion appears to be simply that you visit the validation site, and report back on what happened there.

Matherwold,
Please stop piggybacking on other user's threads. This thread is especially bad and there are several reminders in it not to piggyback. Please observe announcement 2 above:
Most Non-Genuine issue look the same regardless of the true underlying cause. So to help minimize the confusion caused by troubleshooting multiple different issues, we ask that all users create their own threads for thier own specific issues.
In other words, please do not post "Me Too" messages in other people's threads. It isn't the subject of the thread it is the OWNER of the thread that makes the difference. When you use the reply button in a thread you are replying to the original poster's issue. If what you say has nothing to do with helping him you are just confusing things. When you use the Ask a Question button at the top of this page you are asking for discussion of YOUR issue and subsequent replies from others should be about your issue.
