OCS and Tandberg integration question RRS feed

  • Question

  • I see the tandberg present pdf in http://www.mmcug.org/Archived%20Sessions/TandbergPresentation_02_04_09.pdf  and Office Communications Server 2007 Videoconferencing Interoperability V1 doc (http:// technet.microsoft.com/en-us/office/ocs/cc836454.aspx)

At present, we see the OCS client (MOC) must join the Tandberg MCU to make the video conferencing.

And the MCU can do the virtual room that can show in the MOC contact list
In my experience, I must use MOC to join the Tandberg MCU not OCS MCU.
Because the Tandberg endpoints and MCUs don't support RTVideo and RTAudio codec, they can't join the OCS MCU, right?

    My Question is:
Does the Tandberg endpoint or MCU can join the OCS MCU?

Like as follow Fig (reference http:// technet.microsoft.com/en-us/office/ocs/cc836454.aspx )

  • the short answer is, not now, but soon.
Both Polycom and Tandberg are working on their RTVideo porting kit, and other featues that are required for OCS AVMCU interop, such as
CCCP, ICE, and Siren 7 Audio
