Cant change resolution to 1440x900 RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello,

I just bought a HP Pavilion dv6 7030EE with specifications:

    -Intel Core i7-2670QM CPU @ 2.20Ghz 2.20Ghz

    -2GB NVIDEA 630M

    -2GB Intel HD 3000

    -4GB RAM

Problem is, the native resolution is 1366x768 and lower, and i want a 1440x900 resolution because many games that i play only run perfectly at that resolution and i cant find any place where to find this resolution, all my drivers are up to date, and i tried adding a custom resolution by pressing ctrl+alt+f4 and advanced mode and adding a custom resolution but it wont work! When i try to add 1440x900 on 60Hz refresh and 32bit colors it says it cant because im exceeding the bandwith limit...please help me! If i cant get it to work at a 1440x900 resolution im going to sell this laptop back and get a laptop which can run a 1440x900 resolution!

    Thanks & Regards

  • Go to the Display Properties > Settings > Advanced > Adapter and check for an option that says something like 'List all modes'.
