Password AD reset Powershell RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi There

Could anybody be kind enough to inform if there is a way to reset multiple AD passwords using Powershell but without using a CSV file or pointing specifically to an OU but reset them randomly

    Thanks

  • What is the purpose for this?  Aer you trying to reset service accounts?  There are mechanisms for service accounts.

  • No it's just testing, curiosity, I've seen a lot of bulk password resets using csv, or pointing to a OU but not were you choose a selection of random AD users using a script

    Thanks

  • Why would anyone need to do that?  Sou ds like a good item to help you do the research needed to understand Active Directory and user accounts.  DO some research and you will likely see why the question is kind of pointless.

Curiosity is good.  It helps in learning.  Keep the question in mind while you study these things.
