TFS build always throw the error about "Unexpected logger failure" RRS feed

  • Question

  • I cannot find the TFS server category. Please move to the correct category. Thanks.

We have our own project called  AB Suite and customized the msbuild. The issue is that build from web definition (TFS build) always throws the exception as below:

Actually with the same command on the same machine, msbuild can work well. Also build from Xaml deifinition can work well too. Only build from web definition has such issue.

One partial workaround is that we can add /noconlog. It can work if there is no build errors. If there is build error, the "unexpected logger failure" will appear and the real build error will be hidden.

How can we avoid such issue?

    Thanks & Regards,

    Lyle

  • Hi Lyle Xu,

    Thanks for posting here.

Since the TFS forum is locked, we could not move to the correct category. I suggest that you can open a new thread on the stackoverflow with TFS tag or Developer Community.

More community members and MVP on that forum may further look at your issue and provide more suggestions.

Thanks for your understanding and cooperation.
