Having problems with swapping drives RRS feed

  • General discussion

  • I have a hot swappable sata drive bay installed on the pc where i test my windows home server, when i enter a  disk and turn on the power, the computer jams for about 10 seconds, i have noticed that this is normal for adding the new hardware, but after that the system gets extremely slow and hangs from time to time. It's like playing turn based.

I runned talQ.exe and got this CAB number : CAB 354123288

hope this problem can be solved

  • Hi,

"The hot swappable sata drvie bay" connect to what? addon controller or the motherboard controller? do they support hot swappable and their drivers installed well?

As above, sound the controller did not reset the drive, going like this, you will lose it.

If my memory regarding hot swapping is way dusty, can one please step in and explain if WHS use new tech. or something regarding that.

    My best.
