Email Router Setup Problem RRS feed

  • Question

  • I'm attempting to setup an email router for an additional CRM organisation.

Both organisations are CRM Online, however the first one was created on the Windows Live platform and the second one was created on the Azure/Office365 platform. Hopefully this won't make a difference.

First question, do I require a different install of the email router for the second organisation (and hence a difference server?)

Secondly, the second organisation is in a different data center - crm5, whereas the first organisation is in crm4.

Hence my 2 urls currently look like:

    https://dev.crm4.dynamics.com/<org1ID>

    https://disco.crm5.dynamics.com/<org2ID>

org1ID is a string of letters and characters, org2ID is the organisation name.

I have check the crm admin password for organisation 2.

The (paraphrased) error I'm getting is:

"Unable to retrieve user and queue information...

    Verify URL...

    Also check access credentials...

    (GetAuthState() - Request Status:)"

    Edit:

I've decided to split the email routers to make them more manageable.

I am trying to set up the second organisation in its own email router and I am getting the same error

  • You can enable the tracing on Email router machine, reproduce the issue and check the error in the event log.

  • Thanks for the response. Here is the error from the event log:

#6188 - The E-mail Router service cannot connect to the Microsoft Dynamics CRM server or the Microsoft Dynamics CRM Online server to access user and queue information. Verify that the account that is used to run the E-mail Router service has sufficient permission to access the Microsoft Dynamics CRM server and that there are no connectivity problems. I think it is the URL that needs to be formatted correctly, but I'm not sure. It is currently:

    https://disco.crm5.dynamics.com/<orgName>

then install Microsoft Online Services Sign-In Assistant for IT Professionals RTW

  • If your CRM was provisioned through the Office 365 platform (i.e. your org name is comprehensible rather than a string of letters and numbers) try the URL:

    https://disco.crm4.dynamics.com/<OrgName>

  • I use CRM on Live account - not O365.

This configuration was good when I use Windows 7.

  • Double check the credentials, and I had to reboot the box after installing the update. I'd try that.

If not then you might try starting a new thread because I doubt many people will view this one as it has been marked as answer.
