Data security RRS feed

  • Question

  • Is there a published statement / paper that outlines Microsoft's stance on data security for online services. My interest is in:

    * Exchange / email data security

    * SharePoint / Document security

    * CRM / security of 3rd party (the client's client) confidential and personal data

  • The issue with 3rd party security for CRM is it's also based on how you implement CRM user roles. for example, CRM can't ever be certified HIPAA compliant out of the box, but there are specific implementations of CRM that are HIPAA compliant. MS's security is at the database/datacenter level, and you can find more here: http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamics/crm-trust-center.aspx
