Pages not being indexed - yellowassistance.com RRS feed

    We are only showing 106 pages indexed on Live.com, while Google shows around 10,000, and we actually have several million pages in our site.  Can you check on this and advise me if there is anything we need to do differently?

    Two things I noticed off the top:

     

    1. You don't have a robots.txt file. Even if you don't want to use REP, you can still help our crawler by placing the path to your sitemap in the robots.txt file.

     

    2. When I tried to view your sitemap file at http://yellowassistance.com/sitemap.xml, I received an access denied/ xml error:

     

     

     

     

    The XML page cannot be displayed

    Cannot view XML input using XSL style sheet. Please correct the error and then click the Refresh button, or try again later.

    Access is denied.

    Brett,

    Thanks for the response.  We added the path to our sitemap a few weeks, but still haven't seen any significant indexing activity yet.  Any other suggestions?
