Phone Registration

  I am on the schools wifi and they all re direct me through a website to log on to the internet which I have read is something that cannot be happening if I want my phone to be found and then registered. All the wifi here has the same problem so it is hard for me to find one that does not have that problem so I was just curious if there was anyway to register my phone even though this is a problem?
