When qualifying leads in 2013, if I only want to create a contact and add it to an existing account, I delete the company name from the Lead, qualify, then specify the existing
company record in the Duplicate Warning dialog box. Doing this will only create a contact, which I want, but the contact isn’t added to the existing Account I specified; it leaves it blank requiring me to open the contact and assign it to the account record.
Shouldn’t the contact have been associated to the account I selected and populated in the Duplicate Warning dialog box? Ideally I would like the Account that I selected be populated on the contact record instead of having to do it manually.
If it doesn't associate in automatically then the Duplicate Warning dialog box is useless.
Any knowledge of this operation and functionality would be great.
