• Question

  • How do I get rid of the script error HKCU/software/uyvgifo\aicyyf ??

It pops up every time I turn on my computer and won't let me do anything until I click "No" several times.  I don't know anything about registry keys or system functions or any of that.  I just need to get this to stop.  Can someone please help me?

    You can email me at

    Thank you.

  • Hi Melissa,

some script is running in the autostart for you. Sounds like it's product-related.

Possible locations to check (in descending probability):

    • Scheduled Tasks
    • Group Policy
    • Autostart registry keys
    • Services of software vendors

You can check the first three with this PowerShell command:

    Get-CimInstance Win32_StartupCommand

    There's no place like

  • Get-CimInstance Win32_StartupCommand  will do jobs in most circumstances.

But if the program is not listed in registry & using kernel mode drivers. You will not get the startup correctly. Instead use the autoruns.exe from System Internals. Run with the following options:

    autoruns.exe /e

First of all, you should scan your computer for viruses.
