    Hi

    I am trying to install Visual Studio 2008 on Windows8 64 Bit. I am unable to install as the installation fails. Can anyone help??

    Try asking your question in the Visual Studio Setup and Installation Forum at http://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/en-us/vssetup/threads.
    Remember that Windows 8 is still a preview, with limited hardware and software support.

    Thanks Bruno for the information.

    Actually Windows 8 has .NET v4 installed. And the setup which I am trying to run is asking for .NET Framework v3.5.

    The error log is as followed:

    Try installing the .NET Framework 3.5 before proceeding with the Visual Studio 2008 installation: read the document at http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/hh506443(v=vs.110).aspx.
