MS-ICE V 2 not working & keeps disappearing !? RRS feed

    Must I remove the "image Composite Editor" folder of V. 2.0.2 before re installing V. 1.4.4 ?

    Windows 7 64 bits.  /  Ram= 8 GB  / Hard Disk= 1 TB / MS Security Essential

    On updating the perfectly working MS-ICE version 1.4 to version 2..., MS-ICE refuses to work & then, does a "disappearing act from the Control Panel. A computer programmer did re-installed it but two days later MS-ICE did vanished once more.

    I want to go back to version 1.4 but I am not sure about what to do with the "remnant": C --> Program files --> Microsoft Research --> "Image Composite Editor"

    Do I delete it if so at what level i.e. "MS Research" or "Image Composite Editor" folder?
