  • We are getting intermittent error messages for different users saying

    #27938 - An error occurred while checking for e-mail messages to process in mailbox a.user@company.com. System.Net.WebException: The operation has timed out
    
       at System.Net.HttpWebRequest.GetRequestStream()
    
       at Microsoft.Crm.Tools.Email.Providers.HttpDavRequest.SubmitXmlCommand(HttpWebRequest httpWebRequest, String body)

    Does anyone know the fix to this?

  • Are you using Exchange Server 2007? 

    Reconfiguring the exchange router to use a forwarding mailbox does resolve the issue. I appreciate that this is not a solution to the problem just a possible work around.

  • Where are you getting this error? Are you getting it on the server that the email router installed on? If so, can you check to see if you are using the CRM 3.0 router against CRM 4.0?

  • No we are using the CRM 4.0 router - we only ever started with CRM 4.0.

  • I have the same issue and I am unable to use the forwarding mailbox, are there any other options open to us?
