Problem to connect using Registration Tool RRS feed

  • Question

  • I have the CrmSdk and CrmSdk.Discovery web references, as well as the
microsoft.crm.sdk, and sdktyproxy references. The assembly builds fine, when
I attempt to use the registration tool, I get an error that I am unable to
connect to the discovery service with the following details:

Unhandled Exception: System.Net.WebException: The request failed with HTTP
    status 404: Not Found.
System.Web.Services.Protocols.SoapHttpClientProtocol.ReadResponse(SoapClientMessage message, WebResponse response, Stream responseStream, Boolean asyncCall)
    at System.Web.Services.Protocols.SoapHttpClientProtocol.Invoke(String
    methodName, Object[] parameters)
    Request) in C:\Development Work\CRM 4.0\sdk\tools\pluginregistration\Web
    References\CrmSdk.Discovery\Reference.cs:line 79
    at PluginRegistrationTool.CrmConnection.RetrieveOrganizations() in
    C:\Development Work\CRM
    4.0\sdk\tools\pluginregistration\CrmConnection.cs:line 435
    at PluginRegistrationTool.ConnectionsForm.OpenConnection(CrmConnection
    con) in C:\Development Work\CRM
    4.0\sdk\tools\pluginregistration\ConnectionsForm.cs:line 836

I have gone through this several times, and cannot deterimine why this is
happening. Can anyone help with this please?
