  • Question

  • I am receiving the following error when attempting to configure the email router in Dynamics 4.0

The E-mail Router Configuration Manager was unable to retrieve user and queue information from the Microsoft Dynamics CRM server. This may indicate that the Microsoft Dynamics CRM server is busy. Verify that URL 'http://CRMSERVER:5555/CRM' is correct. Additionally, this problem can occur if specified access credentials are insufficient. To try again, click Load Data. (The request failed with HTTP status 404: Not Found.)

I read a couple of previous posts but am a bit confused with what my problem may be, here is what I found:

    • I installed Update Rollup 14 for the Router updates
    • Based on this article I checked the MS_CONFIG database, Deployment Rules table and found the entries list "CRMSERVER:5555"
    • I tried to use several browser verified URLs 'http://CRMSERVER:5555/CRM' and even the vanity URL's 'http://crm.company.com' and 'http://xrm.company.com' and 'http://localhost:5555/CRM', none work
    • Once again, 'http://CRMSERVER:5555/CRM' works in IE on the server, however it fails in the deployment manager?
    • In IIS, , the binding for 5555 has a blank host name

    Thanks for any assistance!

  • Figured it out, this is a production server and therefore there was a proxy IP set up in IE. All I needed to do was to allow in IE the following: Internet Options > Connections > LAN Settings > and check the box for "bypass proxy server for local addresses"

  • I was trying to load the data for our e-mail router for MS dynamics crm 2011. I get a similar message:

“The email router configuration manager was unable to retrieve user and queue information from MS-Dynamics CRM server. This may indicate that the MS Dynamics CRM server is busy verify that URLhttps://……
Additionally, this problem can occur if specified access credentials are insufficient.

Can you clarify how you resolved this issue?  what I.P needed to be inputted ir setup on IE?
