Random Noise (voice is broken up when speaking) RRS feed

  • Question

  • Good day,

I recently bought a new Microsoft LX3000 headset. I am an online English teacher and I use the said headphones to teach students. This is actually my 2nd pair of Microsoft LX3000 headphones. I thought the 1st pair was broken because at random / unannounced times it would make this strange noise when I speak (my voice would totally brake up and the student can't hear me over all the noise). I would then have to go out of the class (online class) that I am teaching and go back in. The headphones then work fine.

So, I bought my 2nd pair and it's doing exactly the same. I thought everything was going fine but after my 4th online class it did the same noise (my voice is totally broken up when I speak). I don't understand why this is happening and I would like an answer. It's brand new and it should not be doing this.

My teaching company's IT people also don't understand because the problem occurs at random times.

I would really appreciate help in this regard and a possible solution.

I have a MacBook Air and I have set the headphone up.

    Thank you very much.
