Create draft email in Outlook from Dynamics CRM 2011 Workflow? RRS feed

    Hi all,

    I would like to know whether it is possible to create a email draft in Outlook from Dynamics CRM 2011?  Why I need to do so because users would like to make use of their Exchange Distribution List in Outlook to send out email.

    The email content was generated by a workflow in MSCRM.   Please advise.  Many thanks.

    Hey,

    What do you want to do exactly ?

    If you want to prepare mail with a recipient in draft mode from the CRM, use the standard marketing process.

    1. Create a campaign
    2. Create a marketing list with the list of your contact/lead/account
    3. Link your marketing list with your campaign
    4. Create Campaign activities (Mail type and select the target marketing list)
    5. Generate your activity

    All the email wiil be placed in draft mode before sending.
