Error (0x80070057) when trying to use recdisc.exe in Windows 7 Home Premium to create system repair discs. RRS feed

  • Question

  • I have been researching this, trying different fixes and god knows what else. I am trying to create System Repair discs using the recdisc.exe utility provided by Microsoft. I went and bought some DVDs yesterday (working fine as I have tried them in the drive previously), but whenever I press "Create Disc" I get an error message as seen in the following image:

    Error Message

Have any of you encountered this issue before? How do I fix this?

    Thanks in advance.

No - I do not work for Microsoft, or any of its contractors.
