    I understand that you have users profile associated with a windows live account, but what if you created that account a long time ago and it is a hotmail account.  AKA you cannot change the email address.  This is really frustrating because you are tied to that email address (which I never check) and I need alerts from forums to come to my work e-mail.

    Maybe I am missing something.  I would love to have an easy way to update the alert delivery email address.

    If you go to https://accountservices.msn.com you can change your email address... I got there by going to http://alerts.live.com and following Delivery Options...

    Unfortunately it does not allow for changing the email address because my live account is associated with my hotmail email...

    They should make it easier to update and email address, because some of us change jobs or get new email addresses.
