windows 7 theme problem

  See i ave 512mb graphics card 2gb ram 640 gb hard disk intel core 2 duo 2.93ghz config machine
  i ave my windows 7 running fine
  and wen i play FIFA 2009 and exit it
  the theme tat i ave created using my personal images disappears
  i just get a plain black screen :(
  and am not able to set any image or theme as wallpaper hence forth.
  i need to restart windows 7. but wen i shut down or restart my machine the theme or image appears ofr a second at the time of shut down
  i plz request u to help me with this
  this is the first and only problem i ave been experiencing in windows 7 else am loving it
