Can not Use updates RRS feed

    Using WinXP Pro Do not have the OEM information requested.

     

    I went through all of the steps in the other thread, seemed windows guenine validated me and I could finally get past the validation tool update screen. But when it loaded the list of Updates to download they would not install.

  • Update

     

    It seems that it downloads the critical updates but will not install them.

     

    When I go back in to do the updates, it shows the size of them as 0kbs.

     

    However when I go to shut the computer down, it shows the automatic update shield and installs the updates before complete shutting down.

     

    I don't really like doing it that way but at least the critical updates are getting installed in a round about way.

     

    However, the hardware updates still will not install, even when shutting down.
