Last reply display still misleading RRS feed

    Hi folks,

    The forum main page only shows the last reply time, which doesn't contain the new threads start time, only replies. It's very misleading.

    I'm glad you brought this up.

    There have been lots of threads earlier with passionate arguments about why we ALSO (imo) or "instead" need to have info on the start time of a new thread. (Most of the time during the weekend I am spending time opening forums only to find no new threads ...)

    Yet nothing has been done and instead we have a new version which (yes, I'll agree that so far it seems faster) seems to have brought back several of the errors and inaccuracies that had been corrected over time in the previous version.

    I have the idea that we are making two steps forward and one back ...   (In this particular case we just have the same situation as before of course)

    Mike, can you help me understand what items were brought back that were previously fixed?  Our last version only showed last reply not last new thread and it's an issue we've had on our backlog for some time but had other items of higher priority to fix first.

    We're certainly committed to fixing any problems and it is possible we regressed some issues.

    I meant this as a general statement and not specifically related to just this point of last replies / last new poster etc.

    On this point we have the same situation as before. But as you have seen from my other posts we have things like Moderators not listed; no mention of who amended something etc. I remember similar things happening in early versions of v3 and being fixed after complaints here and the impression is that the new software brings back some of the things that have been fixed in 3.0 since 3.0 came out.

    It's hard to be specific but it is a clear feeling that I have.

    I hope that is clearer than my previous comment.

    Ya i understand your concern and here's the deal:  We're a small team working on this and we could have aimed at getting 100% of the 3.x features in and it would have taken at least another month.  This release was very much worth getting out now and not waiting until we had everything perfect.  I think you'll agree the perf improvements may be worth the missing features.

    The best thing is letting us know the features you miss the most and we'll fix them in priority order.
