504 Server Timeout when client tries to establish TR87 connection RRS feed

  • We are integrating OCS with Avaya using TLS and have successfully made RCC calls using the MOC Clients.

    We now want to trying disabling TLS on OCS and pointing OCS to the Avaya AES via a proxy so we can trace the messaging uncrypted between OCS and Avaya.

    We see an error when the client trys to setup the TR87 connection. The client sends the INVITE to OCS which then forwards to Avaya. A 100 and 200 are returned to OCS from Avaya whichs gets sent on to the client. The client ACKS the 200 and responds with an INFO message and in the body there is "GetCSTAFeatures..." which OCS reponds with 504 Server Timeout and the client sends BYE.

    Looking at the logging on OCS there is a Diagnostic: Routing error occurred; check Result-Code field...which states that the wrong protocol is being used for both the ACK and INFO from the client.

    Any ideas?

  • You should do a debug session on the OCS Mediation server, that way you will see the unencrypted traffic
    Wireshard or Network monitor would also work on the Mediation server
