    Hi I need to edit the name of my Location Profile, Will this break anything?

    Hi Tim,

    It shouldn't on OCS but you will need to change the name of your exchange UM dial plan to match you new location profile name. for instance

    OLD

    location profile: oldocs.company.com

    exhange UM dial plan name:  oldocs

    NEW

    location profile: newocs.company.com

    exchange UM dial plan name: newocs

    Then you will have to rerun the process of connecting Exchange to OCS for UM. But this is the only thign I can think of it should effect.

    My Location Profile is Just the site name in OCS.

    I haven't named it surray.mydomain.com  is this why I am having issues getting the UM and OCS to reconise each other with the exchUCutilps1 script?

    Hi Tim,

    Most certainly would be. The location profile must be the FQDN of the Exchange UM dial plan. Use the following command on the exchange power shell prompt to give you what you need to name your OCS location profile

    (Get-UMDialPlan <dialplanname>).PhoneContext
