A post from MS about what today's (9th July 2009 Redmond time) fixes have solved? RRS feed

  • Hi Mike,

Thanks for the feedback. There are 2 places we post announcements for recent releases.

    1) Forum "Issues" (Forum). Take a look at the announcement section. I started posting UI/Feature changes as well as bug fixes per release. I will continue to do this for that Forum. Probably helpful if I change the title of the announcement to be more prominent.

    2) Accouncement for All Forums (Forum). One of our community program managers (Brent Serbus) keeps this Forum updated per release.

On a side note, we are working on a more suitable fix regarding posts being ordered by helpful vote count. We plan to have another July release to get this issue resolved. I'll post more info in Forum "Issues" forum.

  • Well apologies for that nonsensical request. Hopefully others here were equally blind to these two locations and it wasn't just me.

On 1. I never noticed the small arrow so it just looked like a single line saying there had been a fix on <date>

On 2. I have never, ever, opened the All Forums (Forum). Now that I have, all the posts with lists of the fixes are of course all nicely lined up in it.

  • Me too!

But, the all forums seems to not require replies, and have infrequent posts, so i just RSSed it.

The posts in the bug forum were by bug, which is nice that they are closed, but harder to get a complete picture.

The all forums post quickly mentions the bug. Though it would be nicer if it linked to the individual bugs.
