I have purchased a laptop from Dell and got the reinstallation disks forVista Home Premium 32BIT and Office small business 2007. At home I have a Dell desktop equipped with Windows XP. I have been trying to make them work as a net work. It finally worked but I have had to crush everything on my desktop and Have used the reinstallation disks above mentioned and the disk from the antivirus to make the two computers "identical" in order for them to communicate. I also like VIsta more than XP and was happy with the upgrade. I also thought that it was ok since the two computers belonged to the same household and were both purchased from Dell several years apart. Everything was working fine until this morning when I get an altered version of Vista, with a black background instead of my usual wallpaper. What should I do next? and please no general statement but step-by step guides. Thank you,
