Vista Update Problems

  Every time I try to open something using the Start button (like Pictures or Computer) I get an error message that says Windows Explorer is restarting. Then I get a message saying that this problem can be fixed by downloading an update to Vista. When I click to download it tells me that the update is not for my system. I tried some of the other updates for Vista and they all say the same thing. What do I do?
