  • Hello Carol Pok,

Your eMachines/Gateway computer does not have an eMachines/Gateway factory software deployment on it, which is why it is not "self-activating" like a normal deployment of an OEM SLP installation should.

If you are in an environment that is large enough to employ Volume Licenses (your Office is a VL) and deploy images, then it's likely that somewhere you have the factory recovery discs for this computer, which if used would put the Genuine factory image back onto the computer and it would self-activate normally.

If you don't have the recovery discs, then visit Gateway support to order:  https://secure.tx.acer.com/RCDB/Main.aspx?brand=gateway
