Custom aspx page Authentication problem RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi all,

          I have a custom aspx page, which I want to integrate with my customer's screen. It is working properly when run from Visual Studio. In the web.config file I have kept the authorization as <authentication mode="Windows"/> <identity impersonate="true"/>. Now when I have created the Virtual Directory under the Microsoft Dynamic CRM website. and I am trying to access the pages by selecting Browse, on postback in my page it gives me error "Invalid User Autherization" in IIS, also in crm it give error "Server Error in '/' Application.".

    Line 34: ASP.NET to identify an incoming user.
    Line 35:     -->
    Line 36:   <authentication mode="Windows"/>
    Line 37:   <identity impersonate="true"/>
    Line 38:

    I have checked that Application Name is there so that is not the problem.  Also if I comment the lines for authentication IIs gives the same error "Invalid User Autherization" whereas CRM gives error "The page cannot be found". Please suggest what should I do?

    Thanks in advance. Amar

  • I had a similar issue... A couple of things to check,

    • Try adding  "Microsoft.Crm.WebServices.dll" to GAC (C:\windows\assembly)
    • Ensure "Integrated Windows Authentication" is checked
    • Anonymous access is disabled

    Cheers, Edwin
