    I agree. It also helps if you have a contact of any of the moderators in that forum, so in case when you feel something wrong was done, you can try contacting the moderators with the link and a brief explanation.

    Say, I often see wrong types of the threads - in this case I send e-mails to the moderator I know of to have this problem corrected.

    For this particular answer, I think, the OP decision was fine. You did provide a helpful input also, of course.

    I can't comment on that particular thread as I get "Not Authorized" when I click on the link. But the answer to your question is that posts can be marked as "the answer" by the original poster or by a moderator. Some will mark every correct answer, some will mark only the first correct answer, and some will mark only what they consider to be the best answer.

    In any case it will sometimes happen that a post you believe should have been marked as the answer is not marked.  You may also find that some of your posts are marked even though they don't really deserve it, so it works both ways.

    thanks for the replys.  It was just that my point 8 was what the moderator agreed on but his got marked as the answer and not mine.  I've had a few posts like this before and thought I'd just highlight it and find out how formus are answered.

    Some posts are answered but dont get marked at all.  I'll chase the mods.
