Recommended books for Help Desk/ Support Technician RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

I recently got a job as a Help Desk/Phone Support.  I haven't done ANY I.T. work for the last 10 years, I'm a blackjack dealer actually haha finally getting back into the IT field.

We are currently running Windows 7 machines and after being here 3 weeks, I was hoping to find some good reading material to catch up and be up to speed again.

What books would you recommend for me? On being avid with Windows 7 for support and all that? Active Directory? Power Shell?

    Appreciate any help.  Mahalo!

  • Hello Ryan,

I recommend watching video tutorials of different courses on Microsoft Virtual Academy. They are really helpful.
