live alerts not working with new forums RRS feed

    On the old MSDN forums, I received alerts to my subscribed threads.  On the new MSDN forums, I no longer receive alerts.  I have live alerts turned on for both the forums and windows live.   Alerts are configured to be sent to both messenger and my hotmail account yet I n ever receive alerts.  This worked fine in the old MSDN forums.
