I had installed the mesh client successfully on a Vista machine and later had to do a system restore on that computer. Later I removed the computer from my mesh but when I try and reinstall mesh I get an error. The installation progresses a while and then the icon appears in the taskbar and says I have to update mesh. Once I click to update, mesh exists and I get an installation error. There is no entry in the add/remove programs for mesh for me to uninstall or repair. I have tried rebooting and turning off windows firewall but neither has worked.
We were deploying a new version of Live Mesh yesterday. Would you mind attempting the installation again? If it still does not work, please send us your logs with a bug report so that we can look into this. Instructions are in an Announcement at the top of the forums.
Thanks,
Ben.

Thank you for responding. I was trying to install the mesh client using remote desktop on my media center machine and that was what cuased the problem. When I tried the installation directly on the computer (i.e. not RDC) it worked.
