We have updated our system with a new version and followed all the instruction including uninstalling the older version but it is still showing as expiring in one day.
What do i need to do?

If by A "new version" you mean you purchased a retail CD it was not necessary to uninstall One Care. See this post on how to renew One Care using a retail product key -
