When I run SyncToy 2.1 on one of my Systems. And I am transfering data to another system (pushing) using Windows 7 Home Groups networking. Having a file open for sending on the local system locks out programs like virtualbox from using that same file. However,
if I (pull) the file from another system everything works correctly. And I can use that file locally at the same time.
Which tells me during a (Push) the file is not opened read only as when (pulled) across a network...
Is this something SyncToy 3.0 should do as well?
System 1: Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit. (Push)
System 2: Windows 7 Ultimate 32-bit. (Pull)
Both using SyncFx-v4.0-October2010CTP.
Transferring 208 Gb's Works fine...
