How do I remove thousands separator in PWA?

Question
-
We have an custom Enterprise number field (w/ no lookup table) to enter a year into. On Project Server there is not a thousands separator, but when this same field is viewed in Project Web App, it has the thousands separator. Any suggestions on how we can remove this from the PWA views?
Thanks.

Thanks for the clarification. If it were me in your situation, I would NOT use either a Number field OR a Text field for your date information. Instead, I would simply use a custom enterprise task Date field for that purpose. If you did this, that would solve all of your formatting problems. Hope this second opinion helps.

hi,
I dont think Project Server allows to remove this seperator, you can use a Text column for the same.

Hi Vandy13,
we are not able to understand your question, can you please elaborate it, as per my understanding you are getting multiple (thousands) separator in PWA.

Hi Avinash kr,
Example: In Project Server 2010 desktop client we have the year "2010". In the PWA the year shows as "2,010". Hope that helps!!

You are dancing around the subject. Precisely WHERE in PWA are you seeing the year formatted with the comma separator? I have never seen this problem, so I can't even begin to imagine why you are experiencing this problem. Please let us know WHERE in PWA you are seeing this problem.

Hi Joe and Vandy
I believe Vandy has taken a no. field to display a year, thats y he is getting a seperator for Thousand which is default in PWA.
I suggested he should use a text feilds instead of Number column and to Instruct user, write a description"Enter Year in YYYY format Only" in Description Column.
Hope this Helps.

Thanks Dale, that does sound like the best option! Use what is already available to me. If it had been a snake....
